I appreciate the efforts of the MAVAN Capital Partners team to provide investors with access to technology opportunities. Technology is exciting, so it is necessary to be disciplined. I appreciate the opportunities MAVAN provides which are suitable for most investors who are looking for a portion of their portfolios to have some technology exposure. It is a great diversifier and provides potential for very good upside. That said, there are considerable risks. With MAVAN it is possible to benefit from the upsides and mitigate some of the risks through MAVAN’s selection process and diversification of the fund.

MAVAN has access to a pipeline of select investment opportunities in early-stage technology companies. MAVAN management then conducts extensive due diligence on each opportunity to determine which of these companies they want to invest into. For the chosen few, MAVAN then packages these opportunities into structures which allow retail investors to invest into.

For example, one of their investment opportunities is the MAVAN Tech Opportunity Fund. It is focused on investing into companies where there is a high degree of confidence in the founders and management, and the technology they have created. For investors, getting in early on tech plays is difficult. For that reason the Tech Opportunity Fund provides an opportunity to participate in investments that otherwise would not be available to them due to the large minimum investments and exclusivity of the deal itself.
